Maltby 11_U All-Stars take 2nd at Pony NW Regional Tournament

  Congratulations Maltby 11_U All-Stars!

Led by coach Jon Langston, the Maltby 11_U All-Stars played their most intense game of the year vs. the MTYAA Tunder on Friday in Enumclaw.  Behind strong pitching and lights out defense, our boys jumped out to a 2-0 lead early and held on to win 3-1.  On Saturday, Spokane brought their bats and put up a couple of big innings to take the game 12-2.  Maltby played what proved to be their last game of the year vs. a very determined West Seattle squad.  The game was a back and forth affair and went into extra innings.  Tied at 8-8 in the bottom of the 8th, Maltby methodically moved a runner to third and with two outs, and scored the game-winning run on a passed ball.  While they don't get to make the trip to the West Zone tournament in California, these boys got a taste for sanctioned tournament play and will most certainly be poised to make another run at it next year.

Pony Wildcats Sweep Lee Johnson Tournament

The Maltby Pony Wildcats (Tom Leppich - Head Coach) took 1st place in the Lee Johnson Memorial Day Tournament in Kirkland.  They went undefeated in pool play and won their semi-final and championship game for a perfect 5-0 tournament record.

Congratulations Wildcats!

About Maltby Pony Baseball

MPB is a nonprofit organization and is affiliated with PONY Baseball.  We play at beautiful Maltby Community Park located in Snohomish County, WA.  Our goal is to provide a complete youth baseball program with an emphasis on baseball fundamentals, life lessons and fun.  We hope that each and every player will have a great experience and improve each time we get together.

Why PONY Baseball?

Does your child want to play baseball with half a ball?  Then why play with half the rules?  PONY baseball gets your child playing baseball early, the way baseball is supposed to be played.  They will learn the rules of the game and develop a greater appreciation and understanding of the game at Maltby Pony Baseball.  The baseball diamonds fit the player's age and they play with other players their own age (only 1 year difference in age).  Check out Our Teams to see how Maltby's program changes with each age group.

Jerry Fishman Memorial Fund

Maltby Pony Baseball wishes to honor the memory of Jerry Fishman and his many years of service to our community. In keeping with Jerry's desire to keep Maltby Park a special place for our youth, please consider making a donation to the Jerry Fishman Memorial Fund.  All proceeds raised through this fund will go directly towards making improvements at Maltby Park.
