Fees and League info

Maltby Pony Baseball strives to help each of it's players have a fun and satisfying baseball season.  We offer a complete youth baseball experience that features in-season penant chases and a league championship playoff tournament.  Post-season tournament teams are formed for those who are interested in playing baseball through out the summer.  These teams travel around the region to play in competitive tournaments.  The Bat-A-Thon/ Picture Day is a fun day of photos, individual baseball competition with prizes and fun for all.  Our Youth Umpire Program is excellent for our older players who love the game to grow into adults while staying in the game.

Our home games are played at Maltby Park, which is well maintained and prepped for each game.  Maltby park features 3 baseball fields, all with lights, plenty of room for practice, an outdoor batting cage and a covered picnic area with on-site concessions.  Our South Field is an excellent field for the 9-12 year olds who have a homerun fence to shoot for.  Maltby South also has an announcers booth with optional music and optional announcing of batters over the PA system.  Under the lights, Maltby South is the perfect stage for kids to experience baseball.

Last season we had 2 umpires working 85% of our games (and only 7 games with no umps).  Our team of youth and veteran umpires work together to bring a fun and realistic baseball experience that improves the understanding of the game and raises the skill level of the Maltby youth (both the players and young umps).  We look for every opportunity to teach our young players about the details of the game.  We'd rather our players gain valuable knowledge and understanding of the game than to merely experience winning and losing.  We understand that each young player has an unlimited potential that is waiting to be unlocked.

Fees:

This season, registration will be tied in with the Fundraiser.  To learn more about each age group click here.  This year Maltby offers online registration with payments accpeted via PayPal.  The league age cut off is May 1st.  Your child's League age is determined by the player's age prior to May 1st (their age on April 30th).

The fees that are due at the time of registration are as follows:

Shetland (6u):

$75 Registration + $75 Fundraiser = $150 Total

Pinto (7-8 year olds):

$115 Registration + $75 Fundraiser = $190 Total

Mustang (9-10 year olds):

$155 Registration + $100 Fundraiser = $255 Total

Bronco (11-12 year olds):

$195 Registration + $100 Fundraiser = $295 Total

Pony Cascade (Recreational, 13-14 year olds):

$250 Total Registration (Fundraiser optional, uniforms seperate)

Pony Olympic (Select, 13-14 year olds):

$350 Total Registration (Fundraiser optional, uniforms seperate)

Colt (15-16 year olds):

$350 Total Registration (Fundraiser optional, uniforms seperate)
